Whenever possible Kim prefers not to set a fee for classes and meditation sessions.
Instead she prefers to follow the ancient tradition of dana.
Dana is the Sanskrit/Pali word for generosity or giving.
Traditionally it is considered that a price cannot be put on the Dharma (the study of the laws of awakening).
Rather, it is appropriate to make an offering to the meditation teacher out of consideration for his or her
mundane needs in the world.
It is considered that this approach helps to open the heart and train the mind.
