If you want to learn how to meditate or would like to deepen your practice,
then we may be able to help you at Assyst.

Meditation has increasingly become a choice for many people as the stress of our busy lives takes its toll. Not only can meditation be used to reduce stress but with the practice of mindfulness, we can learn to respond with calm and equanimity in many situations. We can use meditation as a tool to develop empathy and compassion for others and thus reduce habitual focus on self.

The principal teacher at Assyst is Kim Sawyer.

Meditation Instruction

Kim offers instruction in various meditation practices, including:
  •         Introduction to Meditation
     
  •         The Four Foundations of Mindfulness
     
  •         Loving Kindness Meditation
     
  •         Transforming the Emotions
     
  •         Guided Imagination and Visualization
     
  •         Holistic Clearing Meditation
     
  •         Insight Meditation


As part of every session, Kim provides some explanation of the principles that support meditation (Dharma). Every class includes a meditation practice session with verbal guidance from Kim.

Previous experience with meditation is not a prerequisite.
